Music
- Like countless children in elementary school, Fred also played violin in 4th and 5th grades
- Fred has played and received scholastic awards while playing: trumpet, trombone, valve trombone, bass trombone, tuba and euphonium
- Fred attended Weatherford College after High School on a drum scholarship. His initial aspiration was to attend the Berklee College of Music
- Played with the likes of B.B. King and Dave Mancini all while in high school
- Met Ruth Ellington, sister of Duke Ellington while attending the National ACT-SO awards ceremony in New York
- Also while in New York, Fred met then NAACP President, Kweisi Mfume
- Played in historic Preservation Hall as a member of the Paschal High School jazz band
- As a senior in High School, Fred won the local ACT-SO competition for his original composition
- Since his switch to the organ, Fred has played with and accompanied a number of gospel recording artists in church and national settings

Fred has toured Europe four times, all with the Glory Gospel Singers( 2006-2008)
Fred's time touring Europe is close to the equivalent of two years.
In December 2012, Fred was selected as bandleader for Junigatsu '12, again backing the Glory Gospel Singers

While on tour with the Glory Gospel Singers, Fred has been to a number of historic and remarkable sites in Europe and Japan.
- The Berlin Wall (4 times). Fred has visited all remaining sites of this historic wall. Fred also has fragmented pieces of the wall at home as souvenirs.
- Lake Evian- Deciding to forego a trip to Paris, Fred spent Christmas day in Evian and took in the sites and a visit to the Evian water bottling factory.
- Prague- While visiting The Czech Republic, Fred and his tourmates toured world famous Praha (Prague) taking in the Narodni Museum and other shopping attractions. The tour in CZ took GGS to Moravia, located on the southeast portion of the young country.
- While in Geneva, Switzerland the Glory Gospel Singers performed in the monumental St. Pierre Cathedral. Many of John Calvin's personal relics and artifacts are also housed in that church. A professional tourist, Fred took many pictures while there.
- A budding history buff, Fred happened upon the Kaiser Wilhelm church in Berlin. Germany. The bombing of this church was the beginning of the end to World War II.
- On a sad note, Fred has also visited Dresden, site of one of the Allied forces most deadly bombings during WW II.
- During one of his many trips to Berlin, Fred toured Olympic Stadium. It was here that Jesse Owens defeated Hitler's German race team at the 1936 Olympics. A new soccer stadium has been built but the track and field and swimming and diving pools are still available for viewing.
- Another historic moment for Fred and the Glory Gospel Singers came in their performance at St. Salvatore, a Lutheran church. In this church in the year 1725, Johann Sebastian Bach debuted his famous piece "Soli Deo Gloria".
- Fred has traveled the Black Sea, The Black Forest,The French and German Alps, North Sea, the islands of Wangerooge,Sylt and Langeoog.
